About George Paolini

Hello,

I started playing guitar at the age of 10. I learned piano at the same time and although I took lessons on piano I am completely self-taught on guitar.

But learning both instruments at the same time has had some advantages. I have been able to transfer my knowledge of music theory and some of my piano techniques to the six-stringed instrument.

I will post some ideas and insights on things I have figured out on my own or learned while playing with other guitarists over the years.

You’ll see that my style is typically finger picking and that my influence is mostly jazz, but I play a variety of guitar styles and will try to include most of them. My tips are for the more advanced or at least intermediate players.

I hope you enjoy it and would love your feedback or suggestions on what you would like to see covered.
